Milan – Cartagena de Indias route: everything you need to know!

Italian airline NEOS has announced the opening of a direct service between Milan and Cartagena de Indias, from 22 December 2024 until 4 May 2025. This initiative marks a turning point in the international connectivity of the ‘Pearl of the Caribbean’, facilitating access for European travellers to one of Colombias cultural, historical and natural jewels.


A strategic connection to boost tourism

This flight, which links Milan to Cartagena with a stopover in Punta Cana, illustrates the growing interest of European tourists in Latin American destinations. With a total journey time of around 14 hours, this route offers a unique opportunity for travellers to combine holidays in the Caribbean and Colombia.

Flight times and frequencies

Departure from Milan-Malpensa (MXP): every Sunday at 09:00, arrival in Cartagena (CTG) at 17:00 (local time).

Return from Cartagena de Indias (CTG): every Sunday at 18:30, arriving in Milan (MXP) the following day at 10:10 (local time).

Boosting Cartagena’s profile

The arrival of NEOS represents a significant step forward in positioning Cartagena de Indias as a prime destination for Europeans. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this emblematic city offers a unique blend of culture, history and heavenly beaches.

With the addition of Milan, Cartagena is now connected to five major European cities by direct flight: Amsterdam, Madrid, Zurich, Warsaw and Milan. This increased accessibility consolidates its appeal to visitors looking for authentic discoveries and immersive experiences.
